Both the Men’s and Women’s Cross-Country teams at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs were selected 8^th in the preseason poll for the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The men’s team received 70 points in the pre-season conference rankings and the women’s team received 86 points. Both Mountain Lions teams were also selected 10^th in the pre-season North-Central region rankings.

In 2009 the UCCS Men placed 8^th at the RMAC Conference Championship and 10^th at the North-Central regional. The UCCS Women placed 8^th at the 2009 RMAC Championship and 16^th at the North-Central region.
